Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dotzle (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using our website, products, and services (“Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Who we are

Dotzle is a cross-listing & inventory tool. We don’t sell your items, handle buyer payments, or act as your agent. You’re responsible for your listings, taxes, marketplace compliance, and outcomes. We do not guarantee sales, visibility, rankings, delisting success, or avoidance of account sanctions by marketplaces (each marketplace controls its own site, rules, APIs, and detection systems)

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. We offer a fair refund window for first-time purchases. 

The legal bit that follows governs use of our services.

2. What these Terms cover

These Terms govern your access to dotzle.app (and related apps, extensions and APIs) and any features that help you draft, cross-list, delist/relist, synchronize, analyze, or otherwise manage listings across third-party marketplaces (the “Service”).

If you use Dotzle to connect bank accounts or financial data in the future, additional product-specific terms may apply.

3. Eligibility 

You must be at least or have permission from a parent/guardian to use our Services, and be capable of forming a contract. By using our Services, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements.

4. Account 

If you create an account:

  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • You are responsible for any activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Break any laws, regulations or each marketplace’s terms, policies and listing rules
  • Interfere with the functionality or security of our Services
  • Misuse automations to spam or create deceptive/duplicate listings
  • Upload viruses, attempt to scrape our systems, or reverse-engineer the Service;
  • Attempt to access areas you’re not authorized to
  • Use Dotzle to post illegal, counterfeit, infringing, or unsafe goods.
  • Upload harmful, illegal, or offensive content
  • Use our Services to harass, spam, or harm others

You must:

  • Ensure your listing content (texts, photos, pricing, attributes) is legal, accurate, non-infringing, and truthful.
  • Remove items sold elsewhere; use our tools responsibly to avoid duplicate/sold listings.
  • Handle customer service, shipping, returns, and refunds on the marketplaces you use.
  • Handle your taxes, including any VAT, income tax, and (if applicable later) DAC7 reporting obligations. If UK rules treat us as a reportable “platform operator”, we may be legally required to collect and report seller information to HMRC; we’ll notify you and process your data accordingly. 

6. Intellectual property

All content we provide—including text, graphics, logos, software, and design—is owned by us or licensed to us.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use our content without permission.

You retain ownership of any content you upload, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for providing the Services.

7. Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Subscription services

Some Services may require a subscription.

  • Subscriptions are billed in GBP (unless stated) and auto-renew monthly or annually until you cancel.
  • Pricing can change on renewal with notice.
  • You can cancel anytime through your account settings
  • You are responsible for all applicable charges up to cancellation
  • Taxes may apply. You authorize us or our payment processors to charge your payment method on the schedule shown at checkout.

10. Free trial

If you sign up for a free trial:

  • The trial lasts 7 days, unless otherwise stated.
  • You will not be charged during the trial period.
  • When the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial expires.
  • We will notify you before the trial ends, as required by law.

You may only use one free trial per account unless we explicitly allow otherwise.

11. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Logging into your account,
  • Going to the Billing or Subscription section, and
  • Selecting Cancel Subscription.

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged again unless you resubscribe.
  • Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription—you must cancel it separately.

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Refunds

Our refund policy is as follows:

General Refund Policy

  • All payments are refundable under certain conditions
  • We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods or unused time after cancellation.

Refunds for Mistaken or Unauthorized Charges

We may provide a refund if:

  • There was a billing error,
  • A duplicate charge occurred, or
  • Your account was charged without your authorization. 

You must contact us within 30 days of the charge for a review.

Trial Period Refunds

Charges made after a free trial are not refundable, as users can cancel anytime before the trial ends. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us.

Regional Consumer Rights

Some regions have additional consumer protection laws granting refund rights.  Where applicable, we comply with all such legal requirements.

13. Third-party services and links

Our Services may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

You may connect marketplace accounts or other services. You authorize us to act on your instructions to create, edit, publish, delist/relist, or synchronize listing data on those platforms.

Your use of each marketplace remains subject to that marketplace’s terms. If a marketplace changes APIs, blocks automation, rate-limits, or suspends your account, Dotzle isn’t liable for resulting impacts.  

14. Service availability

We try to keep our Services running smoothly, but:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or compatibility with all marketplaces at all times (marketplaces change frequently).
  • We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time

We are not responsible for losses resulting from downtime.

15. Fair use & rate limits

To protect stability and marketplace compliance, we may apply fair-use caps (e.g., maximum concurrent actions, import/export volume, API calls). If you consistently exceed limits, we may throttle, require an upgrade, or suspend.

16. AI features (if/when used)

Where we provide AI-assisted titles/descriptions, you’re responsible for final review. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Don’t rely on them for legal/condition/brand claims without verification.

17. Disclaimers

Our Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.  We make no warranties, express or implied, about:

  • Accuracy of information
  • Reliability or availability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose

Use our Services at your own risk.

18. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

19. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dotzle excludes liability for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill). Our total aggregate liability for all claims in a 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid to Dotzle for that period.

20. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your behavior harms the platform or other users

 

You may stop using our Services at any time.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date and may notify you as required by law. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

22. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales without regard to conflicts of law.
